Chris Lane Announces 'Laps Around the Sun' Tour

Chris Lane has announced a headlining tour, which will launch on Oct. 12 and run through the end of the year. The 2018 Laps Around the Sun Tour is named after his sophomore album, which came out in July. He'll be joined on the trek by viral phenom Mason Ramsey, as well as recent American Idol alum Gabby Barrett.“I’m blown away by the response to my new album,” Lane admits.

“Performing live and interacting with fans is one of my favorite parts of what I do, and hearing people sing along is such a cool feeling. I can’t wait to hit the road and play these songs every night."Lane's latest record is his sophomore album, the follow-up to 2016's Girl Problems, which brought the North Carolina native to the forefront of country music via the success of gold-certified singles "Fix" and "For Her."“I’ve learned a lot,” he tells Billboard of his new album, which he recorded with a live band — something new for his resume. “With my first record, I was trying to figure out exactly what kind of sound I wanted to have, and now I know. I know what I truly love and what kind of artist I want to be."My goal was to make sure anyone who hears this album finds a song they can relate to.
